Scripture: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6

I had a dream that left me shaken. I was climbing a jagged cliff. I gripped rocks labeled TRUTH. Every time I grabbed hold, they crumbled into dust and blew away. I was desperately trying to pull myself up, but nothing held firm. Above me, Jesus’ hand reached down, steady, strong, unshakable—yet I kept trying to climb my own way.

I woke up in a panic. Did I fall? Did He grab me? Why didn’t I just take His hand? As I prayed, the Lord led me to John 14:6—“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

The world is full of “truths.” False religions, philosophies, self-help doctrines, and personal ideologies all claim to offer the way to peace, enlightenment, and salvation. But they are just shifting sands—temporary, fragile, and powerless. Since the Garden of Eden, the enemy has twisted truth. He provides an endless supply of ear tickling variations of TRUTH. These variations lead to nothing but death and destruction (Genesis 3:1-5).

Jesus alone is The Truth. His Word does not crumble, and His way does not lead to a free fall into despair. He has already stretched out His hand—through His sacrifice on the cross. We don’t have to climb, strive, or cling to false hopes. We just have to let go of the lies and grab hold of Him.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” — Proverbs 14:12

Are you reaching for ideas that seem true but will only leave you falling? Are you trusting in man-made religion, self-empowerment, manifesting your destiny, or some version of “truth” that fits your lifestyle? They have no eternal value and will lead you straight into the camp of the enemy. He is still that sly cunning serpent, don’t forget that. Jesus is the only Rock that will never break beneath you (Isaiah 26:4). His way is the ONLY way that will lead you to life.

Take His hand today. Let go of everything else.

I pray today that you will stop struggling to climb on your own and embrace the hand of Jesus. He is reaching for you—will you take hold?
