No Weapon Formed Will Prosper | A Strong Daily Devotional
Daily Devotional
Scripture: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,’ says the Lord.”
— Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
Devotional: Victory in Christ
The enemy is always looking for an opening—some weakness, some vulnerability—to trap us in fear, shame, and defeat. He customizes weapons, strategically setting up traps, hoping to entangle us in lies and darkness. And when we struggle to break free, he swoops in, trying to drown us in condemnation.
But here’s the good news: his weapons won’t work.
God never said the weapons wouldn’t be formed—He said they wouldn’t prosper. That means attacks will come, the battle will rage, and the enemy will try to discourage, distract, and destroy us. But as sons and daughters of the King, we do not fight for victory—we fight from victory. The battle is already won through Christ.
Isaiah 54 reminds us that we belong to God. His peace is our inheritance. When we feel afflicted or rejected, we must remember who we are. When tossed by the storms of life, we must remember whose we are. Our hope is not in what we see, but in what God has already declared. The world says, seeing is believing—but God calls us to believe before we see.
Ephesians 6 tells us that our battle isn’t against flesh and blood. Instead, it is against spiritual forces at work in unseen realms. The enemy may throw everything at us, but if we stand firm in Christ, he cannot prevail. When we walk in faith, we trust in God’s promises. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will see His plan prevail in our lives. We will see His purpose and His power prevail in our lives.
Don’t be discouraged by what you see right now. Stand firm in faith, believing in the victory you can’t yet see. As Dr. Tony Evans says, “If all you see is what you see, then you will never see all that there is to be seen“God is already at work. Keep trusting, keep standing, and keep believing.
