📖 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

Have you ever seen a branch lying on the ground, completely disconnected from its tree? It withers, dries out, and eventually turns to dust. Why? Because it has no source of life. That’s exactly what happens to us when we try to live apart from Jesus. He is the ONLY source of life. He is the ONLY one who can give us everything we need. He is our provider, strength, redeemer, savior…our all in all.

In John 15:5, Jesus makes it clear—He is the Vine, and we are the branches. Our strength, our growth, and our ability to bear fruit all depend on being connected to Him. When we are grafted into Christ, our roots run deep in His love. Our lives overflow with truth, joy, and purpose. But apart from Him? We dry up, become spiritually weak, and produce nothing of eternal value. Yes, we see the world around us “producing”. There is a lot being accomplished…but literally everything it produces, when not in Christ Jesus, will wither away to nothing.

Romans 11:17-18 reminds us that, as believers, we have been grafted into God’s family, nourished by His promises and grace. This is where we belong—deeply rooted in Christ. We thrive in His presence. We draw from His strength. Whatever we do as we seek him will have lasting value. Our actions have lasting value for all eternity.

🔥 Are you staying connected to the Vine? If you feel weak, weary, or fruitless, don’t try to fix it on your own. Run back to Jesus! Let His Word nourish you, let prayer strengthen you, and let your roots grow deep in Him. In Him, you are alive. In Him, you will flourish!
