Submit to God, Speak Life, and Defeat the Enemy | Devotional
Devotional:
2 Things I Know…
- That Satan is a sly and beastly son of a gun. He knows how to lie, twist, and manipulate. We are told he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Don’t give him a victory over your life – no matter what or who he is using. You are a treasure in God’s eyes – and that is why the enemy is taunting you. Do not hand him a victory – not today…not EVER!!!
- MY GOD IS GREATER! And he calls us to pray for those the enemy uses. Whew – that feels rough, doesn’t it? BUT GOD!! He is greater in your relationship than any mess the enemy can stir up. So, humble your heart before our Mighty God and trust his process. He sees it all – nothing escapes him. He knows stuff you and I don’t – nothing is hidden from him. He sees every motive and intention. He looks into the heart of every single person. No one can hide from him. Soooooooo….take a deep breath, releasing your will to Jesus, and ask the Lord to bless them. Ask him to bless them so much that it causes them to cry out in humility and repentance. Pray that they will submit to God and be able to resist the enemy. Then he will have to flee from them. Pray they allow the Lord to free them from their attitudes, mindsets, addictions, habits, bitterness, divisiveness, & behavior patterns. Pray they find complete healing in the Mighty name of Jesus. Until then, my sweet friend, please do not forget how valuable and cherished you are in Jesus. You are LOVED, CHOSEN, & ADORED….YOU ARE HIS!!! Soak that up today! Let it saturate every fiber of your being! Let’s agree to allow the Holy Spirit to minister the truth of God’s holy word to us today. And let’s agree to allow Jesus to fill us, you and me, with the peace & joy only Jesus can give.
Additional Devotional Reading:
1. Praying for Your Enemies
Matthew 5:44 (NIV)
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Jesus reminds us that prayer isn’t just for the people we like—it’s a weapon of healing, freedom, and grace even toward those who have wounded us. Praying for our enemies doesn’t make their wrongs right, but it sets our hearts free from bitterness.
2. Lifting Others Up with Your Words
Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
Your words have power. This verse calls us to use our voice to build up, encourage, and speak life—especially in a world that tears down.
3. Submitting to God & Resisting the Enemy
James 4:7 (NIV)
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Victory starts with surrender. When we align ourselves with God’s truth, the enemy loses his grip—and he must flee.
Love in Christ Jesus!!!!!
Blessings to YOU,
Cassandra Lee
